Note: .....it is ..a matter of doubt and uncertainty in their mind; and where doubt and uncertainty are, there faith is not, nor can it be. For doubt and faith do not exist in the same person at the same time. Lectures on Faith 6:12. - An example of this struggle in a man is when a father came to Jesus bringing his son with a dumb spirit. Nine of Jesus' apostles could not heal him. In Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." 24 "And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." Eventually, one side or the other, faith or doubt, is going to win the tug of war in a person. We get to make the deciding choice.
Practice the pause. When in doubt, pause. When angry, pause. When tired, pause. When stressed, pause. And when you pause, Pray! ~Toby Mac
Debbie and I had prayer together this morning, we showered and got ready for church at Abbington Memory Center. Johnny Barners from our ward conducted today. His wife Amy played the piano and we had Aaronic priesthood to administer the sacrament and young women to speak. The battery was charged on the PA system today and when we put it back in the closet after church we plugged the charger back in so it will be charged for next week. After church and everything was put away, we came home. At 12 Noon we attended the Lehi 7th Ward Sacrament. Our neighbors, Dan, and May Hammond, their children, and their 22-year-old nanny, Bella attended church for the first time since they moved into our neighborhood. We attended Sunday school class with them. The children went to their different classes. When we got home I searched for Young Single Adult, Y.S.A., church services times, and location and sent it to Dan. Debbie and I listened to part of April 1st, Saturday morning's General Conference. Debbie fixed a nice Sunday dinner. Tylee came over to get her outfit Debbie took the stains out when she washed them with dark clothes. Debbie listened to her talk and unloaded her troubles while they were outside where no one could hear them talk. I washed the dishes, pots, and pans. Later Debbie put the food up I had put in containers for the refrigerator. Debbie and I had prayer and read scriptures. We got to bed a little after 9:00 PM. Debbie has to be at her aerobic class at 6:00 AM. I talked to Matthew, Beth, and Ora today. I left Michael and Rae Lynn a voice message.
