Prioritized Daily Task

I got a good night's sleep, had prayer, and studied scriptures before showering and getting ready for church.  I went and picked Dan Leser up for the Sacrament meeting.  Charlie and Shirley Hibbert were at church today.  I saw a lot of old friends and some young ones.  After the Sacrament meeting, I took Dan back to the assisted living home,  I drove back to the Cedartown Branch building and attended Sunday School.  Afterward, I drove home, Matthew, Max, and Debbie got home and we had dinner.  Matthew drove over to Atlanta to see Will Harbin he went to school with at Darlington.  Will lives next door to the Governor's mansion.  Beth called and I talked to her and Andrew.  Maggie is playing soccer and loves it.  I called and talked to Michael and Grace; her team. won their basketball tournament.  Elan, Robyn, and some of their children, Baylen, and Kate were there.  I tried to call Rae Lynn but no answer.  I left a voice message. 

Max and I drove out to my Uncle Raymond and Aunt Carrie McAlpin Pruitt's old home place and visited with Ronda, James Pruitt's widow.  Ronda is 77, I think.  Her daughter, Risa (58), and husband, Chuck Obgran, a Longhair Labrador dog named Blue have moved in.  Chuck added on to the old home.  Ronda's phone number is (770-324-3629)

Billy Jean Pruitt's wife, Betty, is deceased.

Ken and Karen Forster 83 Judkin Mill Rd., Cedartown (Karen worked in the Cason Road Nursing Home here in Cedartwon.  She is now a regional manager for a nursing home chain)

Helen Pruitt (age 92)  phone 770-537-4148 (Ronda called Hellen; she recognized her number and answered the phone.  I talked to Helen and she took my phone number and gave me the phone numbers of several members of their family.

Matthew got back at about 7 PM and took a short nap.  Debbie cooked dinner.  After dinner, we watched a TV movie about Jesus.  Matthew helped Matt get BYU TV on Apple TV from his I-phone to his TVs in his home.  Max pulled up April 2023 General Conference.  Debbie had gone to bed and did not see how Matt showed Max how to get on BYU TV from his Iphone. I had prayer and got to bed before 11:30 PM.  Jane Haws called from Lehi and I returned her call.  She does want the water line to her garage apartment repaired.  She said John Barnes had worked on her water lines and knows what needs to be done.  She said she would call him tomorrow.  I called and left a voice message for our Elders Quorum President Derek Soderquist and gave him the report.

15 Jul 2023, Saturday Prioritized Daily Task 9:30 AM - walk around the falls and Snake River in Idaho Falls and see Visitor's Center at the Temple Costco Pharmacy and pick up Debbie's medicine for her cough  On the Juel of the Sea, make a deposit with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line for the British Isle Crusie from June 11 to June 23, 2024. 4:00 PM - Pocatello Temple Appointment (Proxy Sealing) with Debbie's aunt, Anita Schrade  6:00 PM - Dinner at Texas Road House Debbie and I had prayer, got dressed, and took Mirko and Ljubica to Idaho Falls.  We walked around the waterfall on both sides of the river and visited the farmer's market.  We all got Acai Bowls with fruit, nuts, and seeds for breakfast.  I took pictures of the island in the middle of the Snake River.  At one time it belonged to the Keefer Family and was named for Fred W.  20 Aug 2023, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task Ryan and Stephanie Hobbs' 20th Wedding Anniversary I got up and had my personal prayer.  When Debbie got up we had prayer together.  I showered, shaved, and started to make reservations to go tomorrow evening to see a Shakespeare Festival play, TIMON OF ATHENS, at the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre at the college in Cedar City.  Jody Jenkins, my mission president's daughter, was in charge of the Shakespeare Festival at the college before she retired.  I knew it was Sunday and something I should wait until tomorrow to do, so I did not complete the purchase.  I will check and see if I can get tickets tomorrow.  Debbie and Ljubica fixed breakfast and afterward, Bojana cleaned the kitchen.  We followed our neighbors to church this morning.  *Note: In the sacrament meeting, the text in one of the songs, Upon the Cross of Calvery, "death unlocks the passageway into eternity".  The text is...

 17 Feb 2023, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Call Elbert Angel about Ora's land deed in Haralson County, GA abt 60 acres 4:00 PM - Appointment with Sam at Wells Fargo Bank to get Debbie on our estimated tax account *Note:  The story of young John Taylor, a convert to the church, was in NY City preparing for a mission to England in 1837.  He had been telling people he had all the money he needs; he is all set.  Parley P. Pratt was also in NY City on a different kind of mission, a publication mission, to get the word out here in NY.  He hears stories that John Taylor has money and I need all the help I can get, with printing cost,  paper, ink, and, to pay a typesetter, so he goes to John Taylor and asks him, “Do you have any money?”  Elder Taylor says, “Yes, I have plenty of money.”  Elder Pratt says, “Ah, good, can I have $2 or $3 hundred dollars to pursue the work I am called to do?”   Brother Taylor gets a big smile on his face and...
