Prioritized Daily Task
Avery Robinson's 26th Birthday
Brad Bilbo at Rockmart Nursing Home
I was up early, had prayer, called Matthew, woke him, showered, shaved, and got ready for the day. We ate breakfast and drove to the Cason Road facility. Matthew wanted to check the yard and outside of the building before tomorrow. We checked the electric-controlled entrances to make sure we will be able to get in tomorrow morning. We drove to the nursing home in Rockmart and met with Brad Bilbo, Manager of Reliable Health Care, and Ronda Bass, Administrator. They gave us a tour and we talked with Tim Blankenship and Mike Lee in maintenance. Tim has found a lawn company that will maintain the yard at Cason Road. Matthew and I drove to Paulding County and stopped at Manor Lake a 100-bed Assisted Living and Memory Center across from Paulding County Hospital in Dallas. We met with Sherry Lyle, RN, and Assistant Director who worked at Renaissance in Rome GA. She and Patt were friends when Patt worked at Riverwood. Manor Lake was a very nice and well-run operation. They have about 10 to 12 buildings in North Georgia. Matthew and I went to Best Buy in Hiram and traded the TV we got the other day with Max for a better small TV for Debbie's bathroom. We came back home to Cedartown. Max and Debbie got back in the afternoon from the Atlanta Temple and we ate dinner. Debbie and Max brought dinner for us. Matthew's servers he was leasing from Microsoft crashed last night because they could not handle the 1,000 new clients of the cheerleaders' company that Madeline is with. This was a setback but will help him to handle many more accounts as he grows his business. Matthew set up the TV for Debbie and worked with his developers in India and Travis with the cheer company. Max and I watched TV. I called Debbie who is in Twin Falls and had prayer before going to bed.
I sent an email to Jeff Stephens, CPA that has been doing A&M Investments taxes for several years. Dear Mr. Stephens, CPA
I appreciate you speaking with me and my son today.
It is not normal in a small LLC or partnership for one of the members and owners to be denied access to the financial information that he has a legal right to.
Putting this aside, I have some trouble putting together the pieces of the financial picture from the balance sheets and the P&Ls Jimmy Morris sent me. I hope you can answer some of my questions.
The P&L for 2015, item 784.3 shows taxes paid for a shopping center om the amount of $10,329.01. To my knowledge, we did not own a shopping center next to the ASC property. In 2016 we had the same expense for shopping center taxes of $9,252.70. Can you or Jimmy explain this?
Legal fees in 2015 were $8,105 and in 2016 they were $6,750. What were we paying legal fees for?
We were paying $190 in 2015 for accounting services and in 2016 we paid $760. Starting in 2017 accounting fees jumped to $7,255. What happened between 2016 and 2017 to make such a difference in accounting fees?
What was the unauthorized expense in 2020 for $3,701.28 and charged back as taxes? Why again n 2021 was there $3,554.65 spent and charged back made as taxes?
What were the bank charges for in 2019 for $142.65 and in 2022 for $196.08?
I did not see a Retained Earning line item on the balance sheet until 2022 when there was $763,110.15. On line 515, $246,725.12 as a Draw to McAlpin. The equity, capital, and draws from 2015 to 2022, I am not able to follow.
These are some of the questions I have from the little financial information Jimmy sent.
All members should have been getting a complete financial report each year. I have only received a copy of the K-1s each year from Jimmy. They came without any other financial information.
I hope you can see and understand why I want to see all the financials and original corporate documents. I will appreciate your corporation in obtaining and seeing that all A&M records are preserved.
Sincerely
James L. McAlpin
