Prioritized Daily Task

Lehi Roundup Rodeo Days

7:00 AM - Doug Smith Subaru Dealer; Liberty Mutual Claims - Autolite Auto Glass, 1917 Subaru windshield, Saturday, Jun 17th.we arrived at Autolite Glass, the Subaru was parked and we were told it was ready.  I checked it before pay and the technician come with us.  There was a gap between the frame and the windshield on the driver's side of a 1/4 or more and the windshield was flush on the passenger's side against the frame.  The technician said that is not a problem, we do it this way all the time.  I asked him about the gate control sensor that was on the old cracked windshield.  He went to try and find it.  When he came back he told me the windshield had already been picked and they no longer have it.  I called Liberty Mutual Auto and explained to her the situation and I told the young lady who took the call that at one time I had windshield replacement.  I think I am paying more than enough to have the coverage for windshield replacement.  I had this replaced on 14 July 2022, less than a year ago.  I was told the department I need to talk with does not have anyone working today.  She gave me a phone number 888-516-7873, option 3, to call on Monday.  They are open from 8 AM to 5 PM EST, Monday through Friday.  I paid Casey $500 the same as I paid last July at Safelite, 752 E. State Street, American Fork, UT, and got permission to park the Land Rover until I could come back with my wife, Debbie, to get the Land Rover.

9:00 AM - Social Security Office in Draper, UT

I was up early, Debbie and I had prayer, showered, and shaved before driving to Doug Smith Subaru.  I spoke with Dale in the office who came over to the SUV and checked the windshield.  He said the windshield is tight on the passenger's side and lots of space on the driver's side but should be OK.  It is not what I expected to hear but I accept the report as someone who has nothing to gain or lose regarding the windshield.  He did say that whoever put the windshield in should have put the sticker that opens the subdivision entrance gate back on.  I came back home and took a picture of the front tires on the Land Rover.  They need to be replaced.  I sent the pictures to Michael in Ireland, if he wants to replace the tires or does he want me to replace them.  I planned to take Mirko and Ljubica Jelicic to the Social Security Office in Draper but they were closed today because of a holiday.  Debbie made toast, cooked cream of wheat, and cut up fruit for breakfast.  Mirko helped wash the dishes and Debbie put them in the dishwasher.  Ljubica helped put food in the refrigerator and in the cabinets.  I called Liberty Mutual Claims Department about the windshield.   The young lady I talked to took my information and will call me back.  I listened to the story of Calvery in the gospels in Come Follow Me.  Debbie and I rode up to Timber Lakes with Mirko and Ljubica and I got a new gate opener to get into Timber Lakes from Taylor, a young lady in the office, and Tatum, a young man, who works at the gate who put it on the windshield.  We drove by my sister, Elain's cabin on the way to our cabin.  Earlier this year Michael dug out the ditch between the newly paved road and the driveway to the cabin and put in a two-inch plastic pipe the full length of the ditch he dug.  The pipe has come up, been run over, and broken to pieces; the weeds are taking over along the road bank and some in the front and rear yard.  A plastic bag of garbage was left outside next to the garage and retainer wall.  The plastic bag was deteriorating.  I put it in a new bag with a dead mouse we found in the down family room.  The dishes had been wasted but not put up in the cabinets.  It has been some time since the steps to the upstairs game room have been dusted.  All these are small items, the big items are, the banisters on the outside need replacing and the outside of. the home needs calling and staining again.  We drove back home stopping at the park on the Provo River in the canyon, and hiked a portion of the trail.   We called Lon and Pat Nield and met them at the Harvest Restaurant at Thanksgiving Point.  We had a nice meal and visit.  Matthew, Michael, and Elain called while I was having dinner.  I called them back.  I told the boys about the cabin and talked to Michael about the ball tires on the front of the Land Rover.  He said he will be up here in a couple of weeks and get new tires and get it aligned at Big O Tires.   We all had prayer together and later Debbie and I had prayer.  We studied scriptures before going to bed at about 11:30 PM.
