Prioritized Daily Task

9:30 AM Hiking in Zion's park

Debbie and I had prayer and ate a continual breakfast with those in our duplex unit.  The wives and mothers packed lunches for their families.  George said his back was hurting him and he borrowed our car to go see his brother who lives near here instead of hiking today.  Debbie and I rode with Laura, Alex, and Melisato Zion's National Park about an hour's drive from our duplex.  We parked in Springdale with Jared, Tony, Patrick, and Ryan at a private parking lot.  We caught a free shuttle to the entrance of Zion's Park.  Debbie's and my senior passes got us in for free.  We rode the park shuttle up to Weeping Rock and hiked in, took pictures, and rode the shuttle back down to The Grotto and walked to Zion's lodge where we ate a picnic lunch on the lawn.  From there we divided up and went in different directions.  Debbie came back to our duplex with Cooper and Kenna.  I rode the shuttle down to the museum and watched a movie about the history of Zion's Park.  Afterward, I rode the shuttle to the Visitor Center, crossed the bridge, and caught a Springdale shuttle but I did not remember which stop we got on this morning.  We got home and had dinner, leftovers and pizza.  Afterward, it was pool, movies, and hot tub time.  About 10 PM Ryan sent word by Kylie out to all the children to gather at the unit #64 pool for family prayer.  All the children including teenagers as well as the young ones stopped what they were doing and came.  They were not happy about stopping what they were doing but none complained.  Debbie and I helped Ryan clean up around the house and pool before having prayer and going to bed.

Note:  I am still working on developing patience and avoiding contention. Today in. the park and Springdale I had an opportunity to work on developing patience and grow.  I did not do that well but afterward the Lord showed me my mistake and reminded me to be patient.  I had plenty of time and no reason to rush to meet the children and grandchildren back at the vehicles to ride back to our duplexes.  I had left Zion's Park and had been sitting in the shade for about 20 to 30 minutes when an announcement was made to line up in from of the #1 column at the bus stop.  I got in line and was about the 10th or 12th person back.   Some woman goes up in front of me to the left of the line and says in a loud voice I see there are two lines.   For some reason I let this irritate me and I said in an equally loud voice something to the effect, "No there is only one line and it forms at the rear."  She did not move or make any comment.  I was at least sensible enough to drop the issue.   When the shuttle bus arrive for Springdale I got on and realized I did not know what exit to get off.   I did not drive over this morning and just followed the children and grandchildren out of the parking lot and down to the bus stop.  I had taken a picture of the children walking down from the parking lot and I remembered there were pedestrian signs in the street.  The street was marked for pedestrian crossing.  I rode the settle bus to the end of its route and back over halfway to the park.   I showed the driver the picture but he could not help me.   Stephanie texted me on a thread with everyone wanting to know where I was.  I texted back I was looking for the parking lot where we parked.  She sent me a drop-in with the location but I did not have enough cell power with AT&T to open the map.  Debbie texted me that it was bus stop #3.  I was at #6 and waited about 20 to 30 minutes before a shuttle bus arrived.  When I was on the bus about 2 minutes before I reached bus stop #3, Sthepahn called and asked where I was.  She said they had all finished eating their ice cream and were ready to go home.  When I got off the bus I saw her waving from across the street.   For the first time, I recognized where the SUV was I rode in this morning.   I realized during this time, how childish it was of me to be upset and lash out at the woman who had broke in line in front of me and all the people behind her and how the Lord had used this time I had spent riding the bus and walking look in for my parking lot to teach me to be patient and wait on him.
