Prioritized Daily Task

10:30 AM - church services at Abbington Memory Center

12  Noon - Sacrament, Priesthood, and Relief Society meetings Lehi 7th Ward

1:30 PM - Kevin and Diana Field's Homecoming, 1174 S. 1700 W. Street, Lehi, UT

6:00 PM - Family dinner, Alex is joining us; Debbie is preparing a nice meal, salad, roast, mashed potatoes, and homemade bread 

Debbie and I had prayer, showered, shaved, and Debbie and I took Mirko, Ljubica with us to Abbington Memory Center.  Members from the Lehi 18th Ward provided priesthood and music for the church services.  The two CAs had chairs, a table, a podium, and bread set up and ready when we arrived a few minutes after 10:00 AM.  Representatives from the Lehi 18th Ward came and provide services today.  Afterwards we put everything back and charged the batteries for the PA System for next week.  At 12:00 Noon we attended sacrament meeting in Lehi 7th Ward, our assigned ward.  We left when sacrament meeting ended and drove over to Lehi 13th Ward for President Kevin and Sister Field's sacrament.  They are returning home from serving 3 years as President of the Adriatic North Mission.  After the meeting, we drove over to their home and attended a social gathering of missionaries, family, and friends.  I met Kevin's parents.  His dad, JD was in service with Bob Johnson, Bart, Adam, and Brad's father.  Bart is married to Robyn, my niece.  Bob and Charlene spent many Christmas and Thanksgiving with JD and Sue Field; their children grew up together.  Elain, my sister, and Ernie would often join them. Julie brought her mother, Charlene.  We visited and took some pictures.  Debbie and I visited President and Sister Field with Mirko and Ljubica Jelicic at the ANM home in Croatia on Saturday, 16 Oct 2021.  When we got home, everyone was tired, but Debbie fixed a nice roast for dinner.  Alex, "Alexandra", came over.  She is going to school this summer on Tuesday and Thursday and working.  We had a good visit, I love her so much.  I asked her to send me a picture of the book I gave her, "My First Years on Earth". I showed her where the picture would go on Saturday, July 8th.  I must have given the one I had here at the house away; I can't find it.  We cleaned the kitchen, and watched an episode or two of Chosen on the TV.  Had prayer with Mirko and Ljubica; later Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed.

Keffer.  He built a 14 X 22-foot one-room cabin on the Island.  His family was from Pennsville Pa. and settled in...

 20 Aug 2023, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task Ryan and Stephanie Hobbs' 20th Wedding Anniversary I got up and had my personal prayer.  When Debbie got up we had prayer together.  I showered, shaved, and started to make reservations to go tomorrow evening to see a Shakespeare Festival play, TIMON OF ATHENS, at the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre at the college in Cedar City.  Jody Jenkins, my mission president's daughter, was in charge of the Shakespeare Festival at the college before she retired.  I knew it was Sunday and something I should wait until tomorrow to do, so I did not complete the purchase.  I will check and see if I can get tickets tomorrow.  Debbie and Ljubica fixed breakfast and afterward, Bojana cleaned the kitchen.  We followed our neighbors to church this morning.  *Note: In the sacrament meeting, the text in one of the songs, Upon the Cross of Calvery, "death unlocks the passageway into eternity".  The text is...

 17 Feb 2023, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Call Elbert Angel about Ora's land deed in Haralson County, GA abt 60 acres 4:00 PM - Appointment with Sam at Wells Fargo Bank to get Debbie on our estimated tax account *Note:  The story of young John Taylor, a convert to the church, was in NY City preparing for a mission to England in 1837.  He had been telling people he had all the money he needs; he is all set.  Parley P. Pratt was also in NY City on a different kind of mission, a publication mission, to get the word out here in NY.  He hears stories that John Taylor has money and I need all the help I can get, with printing cost,  paper, ink, and, to pay a typesetter, so he goes to John Taylor and asks him, “Do you have any money?”  Elder Taylor says, “Yes, I have plenty of money.”  Elder Pratt says, “Ah, good, can I have $2 or $3 hundred dollars to pursue the work I am called to do?”   Brother Taylor gets a big smile on his face and...
