10:00 AM - Dedication of Saratoga Springs Temple

1:30 PM - Dedication again of the Saratoga Springs Temple

I got my 8 hours of sleep last night, had prayer, talked to Debbie, and had prayer with her, before showering downstairs so I would not wake Elain who is still sleeping.  Dan went to church with the girls and their families.  Debbie, Mriko, and Ljubica are going to watch the Saratoga Springs Temple dedication at our ward building.  I ate a little, brushed my teeth, and got ready for church.  I saw President Spencer Kimball, the stake president, his wife, Nancy,  and two daughters Anna and Macy.  Anna. has full tuition, room, and board scholarship at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.  Spencer told me his dad, Max, and his mother are going to sell their home in Cedartown and move to Tallahassee, FL and work at the temple down here.  After sacrament and priesthood, I came home.  Dan is with Susan, Brian, and Amy.  They are deciding on some of the details regarding Ora's funeral.  I tried to call the children; I talked to Matthew and Beth but had to leave messages for Michel and Rae Lynn.  I wrote in my journal, studied scriptures, and took a nap.  Michael called and I talked to him and Alex.  Alex is going to get in touch with her friend for Debbie and me for us to arrange a tour with him to see the ships at the Navy Museum in San Diago when we are down they with the Jelicics.  I spent the evening visiting with my sister, Elain, Janet and Steve Hughes.  When Dan came home we all visited and Dan found places for us all to sleep.  Amy and Susan called and talked to Dan about the obituary.  They sent us the date August 17th, Thursday, and the time of all the services.  Michael and Rae Lynn called me back.  Michael is coming out for the funeral and Rae Lynn may come.  I called and talked to Debbie, and had prayer with her, Mirko, Ljubica, and Bojana.  I will get a flight to fly to St. George this Saturday, 19th of August.  I had my personal prayer before going to bed.

15 Jul 2023, Saturday Prioritized Daily Task 9:30 AM - walk around the falls and Snake River in Idaho Falls and see Visitor's Center at the Temple Costco Pharmacy and pick up Debbie's medicine for her cough  On the Juel of the Sea, make a deposit with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line for the British Isle Crusie from June 11 to June 23, 2024. 4:00 PM - Pocatello Temple Appointment (Proxy Sealing) with Debbie's aunt, Anita Schrade  6:00 PM - Dinner at Texas Road House Debbie and I had prayer, got dressed, and took Mirko and Ljubica to Idaho Falls.  We walked around the waterfall on both sides of the river and visited the farmer's market.  We all got Acai Bowls with fruit, nuts, and seeds for breakfast.  I took pictures of the island in the middle of the Snake River.  At one time it belonged to the Keefer Family and was named for Fred W. Keffer.  He built a 14 X 22-foot one-room cabin on the Island.  His family was from Pennsville Pa. and settled in...

 20 Aug 2023, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task Ryan and Stephanie Hobbs' 20th Wedding Anniversary I got up and had my personal prayer.  When Debbie got up we had prayer together.  I showered, shaved, and started to make reservations to go tomorrow evening to see a Shakespeare Festival play, TIMON OF ATHENS, at the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre at the college in Cedar City.  Jody Jenkins, my mission president's daughter, was in charge of the Shakespeare Festival at the college before she retired.  I knew it was Sunday and something I should wait until tomorrow to do, so I did not complete the purchase.  I will check and see if I can get tickets tomorrow.  Debbie and Ljubica fixed breakfast and afterward, Bojana cleaned the kitchen.  We followed our neighbors to church this morning.  *Note: In the sacrament meeting, the text in one of the songs, Upon the Cross of Calvery, "death unlocks the passageway into eternity".  The text is...

 17 Feb 2023, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Call Elbert Angel about Ora's land deed in Haralson County, GA abt 60 acres 4:00 PM - Appointment with Sam at Wells Fargo Bank to get Debbie on our estimated tax account *Note:  The story of young John Taylor, a convert to the church, was in NY City preparing for a mission to England in 1837.  He had been telling people he had all the money he needs; he is all set.  Parley P. Pratt was also in NY City on a different kind of mission, a publication mission, to get the word out here in NY.  He hears stories that John Taylor has money and I need all the help I can get, with printing cost,  paper, ink, and, to pay a typesetter, so he goes to John Taylor and asks him, “Do you have any money?”  Elder Taylor says, “Yes, I have plenty of money.”  Elder Pratt says, “Ah, good, can I have $2 or $3 hundred dollars to pursue the work I am called to do?”   Brother Taylor gets a big smile on his face and...
