I was up at 7 AM; had prayer, shaved, and got ready for the day. I got a text from Rae Lynn; she and Michael had landed at Destin/Fort Walton Beach Airport. Michael was renting a car and drove over to Dan's. Amy's dog, Charlie, started barking; I went downstairs. Dan and Amy were on the back porch working on funeral music arrangements. When Michael and Rae Lynn arrived Scot and Gracey came out and visited. We went inside the house. It is getting hot outside and the air conditioning is working. It was more comfortable in the house. I left with Michael and Rae Lynn; we took Dan with us to breakfast in Miramar Beach to the Black Bear. It was expensive but excellent oatmeal, yogurt, granola, and fruit. It was good visiting with Michel, Rae Lynn, and Dan. Michel dropped Dan and I off at Dan's; he and Rae Lynn drove across HWY 98 to Seascape townhouses. Michael had space rented to sleep 11 people so all the cousins can get together visit, play games, and spend the night if they want to. It is within walking distance of Dan's. I called and talked to Debbie and the Jelicics. They were at Bryce Canyon National Park, not far from St. George, UT. I studied scriptures while waiting to go over to the church where the funeral will be held tomorrow. At 2 PM we went over to the Chapel at Crosspoint 1477 CR-393, Santa Rosa Beach, FL for a dry run for tomorrow. I met more of Dan and Ora's friends and learned more about the service she rendered to people. She has lots of real friends. Bruce and his wife operate an NGO for children in servitude. One mother and daughter came to see Ora in 2019 on Christmas day and brought her and Dan food and Christmas presents. Her church choir came on Christmas Day and sang to Ora and Dan. Susan, Amy, and Dan went over the program for tomorrow with their minister Dave. I helped Brian and Truitt set up chairs and tables for the luncheon after the service tomorrow. Elain called Amy on the way over and asked if Dan would check the nightstand in the bedroom where she slept this week while she was there and see if she left her watch and rings. Amy called Scott, her husband, who was still at the house with the children to check and see if he could find Elain's watch and rings Blake had given her. Scott called back and said he could not find them. Later she called and remembered giving them to me to put in the glove compartment of my car. She is calling Amy and asking her to have me get the watch and rings out of my car. I told Amy I turned the rental car back on Monday morning. I remembered her wrapping up the watch and ring in some paper or cloth and putting a pencil through it before putting it in the glove compartment. I borrowed Dan's key and went to his car. I found them where she put them before I took her into the emergency room with her heart hurting. Amy sent her a picture of her watch and ring. I tried to call her but she did not answer. At 5 PM Dan's family and many of her extended family met at Louis Louis on Hwy 98 for dinner. Elain would not sit with me. She was going around the children and eating off their plates. I was finished with my chicken tenders and french fries and took them over to her place at the table and left them for her. She pushed them back and would not eat them. As we were leaving she took me to a place away from the family and told me she was through with me. She loved me but could not handle the way I have been treating her. She was upset because I did not call and tell her last night where her watch and rings were. Then when I found the watch and ring I would not tell her. She told me she loved me but could not deal with me anymore. I told her I was sorry she felt that way but I loved her and she would always be my little sister. I know she is hurting from the loss of Ora, and physical problems with her heart. I cannot do anything to help except keep loving and praying for her. I don't try and defend myself anymore when she tells me I treat her worst than I would treat a dog. I really think she believes what she is saying is true. We got home I texted Debbie and had my personal prayer before going to bed before 10:30 PM. I took a picture of part of our group tonight at Louis Louis Restaurant. Amy and Dan know the family who owns this and another restaurant down here. The grandfather who started the restaurants has turned this one over to his grandson who greeted us when we arrived,
L- R: Robyn Johnson, Scott Kelly, Andy, Dan's brother Wesley's oldest son, Keela Truitt, Andy's wife, Michael McAlpin, Rae Lynn Hobbs, Lori Lynn Lively, and Amy Kelly (There were about 25 of us at Louis Louis's)
