Prioritized Daily Task
Places to see in St. George and the surrounding area - St. George Temple, St. George Tabernacle, Brigham Young's winter home, Jacob Hamblin Home, Judd's Store, Pine Valley Chapel, and Mountain Meadow Massacre Monument
Note: "The family is how God shows His love" is a quote I heard in one of the videos at the St. George Temple Visitor's Center today. It ties in well with "Families can be together forever".
Debbie and I had prayer; I had my personal prayer, showered, and shaved while Debbie cooked breakfast for everyone. Bojana washed the dishes and we drove down to the old historic district of St. George. We went on a tour of the Tabernacle, old homes, and other points of interest. I got a phone call from Matthew and Melodie. We talked about Steven's email Eric forwarded to us. I took Matthew and Melodie's input and sent an email response to Eric. I suggested to him we talk about this before he sends a reply to Steven A. Cornelison, Janie Morris Dunman's attorney in Douglasville, GA. We ate lunch at Judd's Store. We had soup, homemade bread sticks, nachos, and Mirko had ice cream. We went to the St. George Temple Visitor's Center. A senior sister missionary, Sister Meyer, serving a two-year mission here with her husband from Washington, gave Bojana a copy of the Book of Mormon in Srpski. Yesterday was her birthday. The temple is being renovated. We drove out to see the Pine Valley Chapel built by the pioneers but there was no one there to give us a tour. We drove a short distance to see the site of the Mountain Meadow massacre. On the way back we stopped in Veyo to buy a homemade pie. They were out the last time we were here and today it was almost closing time when we arrived and the store was full of people waiting to buy their pies. It looked as if they only had one person taking orders and money. Mirko and I did not want to wait. If we bought a pie we would have to eat it tonight. We are leaving St. George tomorrow morning and would not have a refrigerator to keep it in. We drove back to Las Palmas Retreat and dropped Ljubica and Debbie off. I took Mirko and Bojana to get hats with a large brim for everyone. It is required before we can ride the mules along the Grand Canyon wall Thursday. Bojana bought a new UBS cord to charge her cell phone. When we got home she realized she left her adaptor at Walmart. I took her back and the young man, Max, who waited on her was still there and she was able to get her adaptor she left. When we got home Debbie and Ljubica had dinner ready. We ate, cleaned the kitchen, and had prayer together. We washed clothes and did some packing tonight. Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed. I listened to some Come Follow Me.
