Prioritized Daily Task

9:00 AM - Bojana has an appointment with Trever Wilson (801-361-1058) at BYU.  He is the Senior Associate Athletic Director

1:30 PM - 2:00 PM - Conference call with Eric Fisher (Michael and Matthew to be on the call)

I had my personal prayer, got a text from Amy, my niece.  She stayed up with Ora in ICU last night.  Ora got a good nights sleep and is doing so much better today. I texted and talked to Susan, my other niece.  She encouraged me not to come.  I called my sister, Elain, and she was at the airport checking in.  She is trying to cancel her flight also.  Debbie and I had prayer and she took Bojana to her appointment with Trever Wilson at BYU.  I sprayed the fruit trees, grape vines, and roses with Sevin to kill over 500 insects by contact and F-Stop for Fungicide.  I had to go to Lowes and get a new spray bottle the one I bought earlier stopped working.  I ate breakfast and went out and finished spraying when the HOA water sprinkler went off.  I got my Delta flight from SLC, Salt Lake City to VPS, Dustin/Fort Walton Bech tonight and arriving at 8:08 AM tomorrow morning traveling through ATL, Atlanta, canceled.  We, Michael, Matthew, and I had two 30-minute meetings over Zoom with Eric Fisher, Attorney, in Atlanta. The first was at 1:30 PM MST and the last was at 3:30 PM MST.  Janie Morris Dunman and her son made plans in December 2020 to sell Gateway Nursing Home.  The agreement to sell expired June 30, 2021. Agreement to sell started Dec 16, 2020.  Apparently, Wayne Abercrombie had passed away and could not use the power of attorney I gave him before leaving in 2015 for a mission in ANM to sign for me.  The agreement expired on June 30, 2021.  (I had never seen the agreement until I received it from Eric when he audited A&M Investments in Gainesville.)  The essence of the meetings was to start unwinding A&M Investments.  Eric will take the lead and we (Michael, Matthew, and I) will not be communicating with any of the other owners or their families.  I will write more in my journal when I make an offer to purchase all the assets, Floyd and Gateway Nursing Homes, of A&M Investments.  Ljubica started last night soaking beans and has been cooking them all day.  We had them for dinner.  I studied some in Romans 7-16, for this week's Come Follow Me Lesson.  Stephanie stopped on her way to St. George to see a dentist Kylee goes to.  All the children, Kylee, Abbey, Carter, Mackay, Andrew, and Casey, Kylee's boyfriend.  Debbie had beans and tacos for them.  It gave the children a good break from riding from Logan to St. George.  When they left we cleaned the kitchen.  Tonight Debbie used paper plates with plastic cups and spoons, so there were very few dishes to wash. Debbie and I had prayer with Mirko, Ljubica, and Bojana.  Later we had prayer together and I rubbed  Debbie's left foot before going to bed.

15 Jul 2023, Saturday Prioritized Daily Task 9:30 AM - walk around the falls and Snake River in Idaho Falls and see Visitor's Center at the Temple Costco Pharmacy and pick up Debbie's medicine for her cough  On the Juel of the Sea, make a deposit with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line for the British Isle Crusie from June 11 to June 23, 2024. 4:00 PM - Pocatello Temple Appointment (Proxy Sealing) with Debbie's aunt, Anita Schrade  6:00 PM - Dinner at Texas Road House Debbie and I had prayer, got dressed, and took Mirko and Ljubica to Idaho Falls.  We walked around the waterfall on both sides of the river and visited the farmer's market.  We all got Acai Bowls with fruit, nuts, and seeds for breakfast.  I took pictures of the island in the middle of the Snake River.  At one time it belonged to the Keefer Family and was named for Fred W. Keffer.  He built a 14 X 22-foot one-room cabin on the Island.  His family was from Pennsville Pa. and settled in...

 20 Aug 2023, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task Ryan and Stephanie Hobbs' 20th Wedding Anniversary I got up and had my personal prayer.  When Debbie got up we had prayer together.  I showered, shaved, and started to make reservations to go tomorrow evening to see a Shakespeare Festival play, TIMON OF ATHENS, at the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre at the college in Cedar City.  Jody Jenkins, my mission president's daughter, was in charge of the Shakespeare Festival at the college before she retired.  I knew it was Sunday and something I should wait until tomorrow to do, so I did not complete the purchase.  I will check and see if I can get tickets tomorrow.  Debbie and Ljubica fixed breakfast and afterward, Bojana cleaned the kitchen.  We followed our neighbors to church this morning.  *Note: In the sacrament meeting, the text in one of the songs, Upon the Cross of Calvery, "death unlocks the passageway into eternity".  The text is...

 17 Feb 2023, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Call Elbert Angel about Ora's land deed in Haralson County, GA abt 60 acres 4:00 PM - Appointment with Sam at Wells Fargo Bank to get Debbie on our estimated tax account *Note:  The story of young John Taylor, a convert to the church, was in NY City preparing for a mission to England in 1837.  He had been telling people he had all the money he needs; he is all set.  Parley P. Pratt was also in NY City on a different kind of mission, a publication mission, to get the word out here in NY.  He hears stories that John Taylor has money and I need all the help I can get, with printing cost,  paper, ink, and, to pay a typesetter, so he goes to John Taylor and asks him, “Do you have any money?”  Elder Taylor says, “Yes, I have plenty of money.”  Elder Pratt says, “Ah, good, can I have $2 or $3 hundred dollars to pursue the work I am called to do?”   Brother Taylor gets a big smile on his face and...
