Prioritized Daily Task

Check and see if Dan Owens pruned the fruit trees yesterday

12:15 PM Grandparents Day at Andrew Hobbs' school in Wellsville, UT

Go to Plesant Grove and pay Tom Owens for pruning fruit trees

Dr. Dennis J. Blume, the Dentist I visited.  He replaced a filling without removing the crown. Age 57 (1966 or 1965); Married to Monica L Blume (801) 489-4541 - Home/LandLine Phone                                        (801) 318-3001 - Wireless. Home address; 1965 N 2600 W, Lehi, UT 84043-4074                                                                                  (I went to Dr. Steven Smith, Dentist in Lehi on Thursday, March 16th this year, and doing X-rays he found a cavity on a tooth with a crown.  We were not told until after our visit they had changed insurance carriers and we would have to pay for the X-rays and pay to have the crown removed and replace the filling.   I found a Dr. Dennis Blume who takes Humana Insurance.  I visited him on March 20th and took the X-rays I paid for that Dr. Smith took.  Dr. Blume said he could repair the cavity and filling without removing the crown.  I went back on Thursday, March 23rd and he took the filling out, cleaned the cavity and filled the tooth without removing the crown.  Yesterday 14th September, I took Debbie and we got our teeth cleaned.  Dr. Blume is no longer with Stubbs Dental.  We got X-rays done again and our teeth cleaned.  Debbie was told by Kim Killebrew, the Dentist, she needs two crowns.  Debbie was disappointed and I suggested we. get a second opinion.  I tried to find where Dr. Dennis Blumbe is working.  I called the main number of the group and spoke with the receptionist.  Dr. Devin Orvin, Dennist and owner, was there and heard the conservation.  I was told by the receptionist they do not know where he is working or how to contact him.  I found his personal information on line, called his cell phone and left a message I would like to make an appointment for my wife for him to see.

Debbie was up early, we had prayer; I woke this morning with my eye matted.  I went to see Sonia, P.A. at Urgent Care.  I have pink eye; she called in a prescription to Costco Pharmacy here in Lehi for Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Op 0.5% drops and a refill on my Levothyroxine Sodium 88Mcg Tab.  I called the pharmacy to get a rush on the prescription.  I was told it will take 40 to 60 minutes for them to get it ready.  I drove to the cleaners and picked up my slacks they had the seamstress redo the heim in one of the legs.   The charge was $24.  I told the lady I could buy a new pair of pants for less than that.  She just works there but did give me a $6 discount coupon.  I drove home for Debbie to leave and not be late for the program at Drew's school for grandparents.  Debbie had breakfast ready for me.  I had not finished eating when she called.  She had left her blouse and overnight bag in the bedroom.  I took it and drove up to Sandy and she drove down to Sandy and we met.  She does not have much time to spare to get to Drew's school in Wellsville.  Debbie sent pictures and videos of the grandparent's day program.   I drove out to 379 E 300 N in Pleasant Grove to Dan Owen's home and paid him for the pruning of our fruit trees.  When I got back home I finished breakfast.  I got an email from Eric Fisher with a proposed response to Steven Cornelison's counteroffer from Jani Morris Dunman on September 12th.  I talked to Matthew and responded to Eric that is OK to send it to Steven.  I got an email from Judith Grant that her husband, our mission president is having knee replacement surgery.  I sent him a text from me and Debbie.  I tried to adjust the amount of water that is put onto the trees, grass, and plants by 25%.  I watched a YouTube video and the instructions were not what I was seeing on our panel box.  I worked on organizing things for my 2023 journal "Notes".  Debbie went to the Logan football high school game this evening.  I had my personal prayer before going to bed about 10:30 PM

Note: (1) The LDS Living Magazine came this month.  I read about Marie Vischer Ettiot who survived 3 years in a WWII prison camp.  She was born in 1937. six years before I was born in a hospital in Anniston, Alabama.

(2) There was also a recipe for a Sheet Pan Pecan Pie.  I changed the crust from two refrigerated pie crusts to a Gramcracker crust like the ones Debbie makes. PREP TIME 20 minutes - COOK TIME 45 to 50 minutes

2 refrigerated pie crusts (Pillsbury) Stack one of the pie crusts on top of the other and roll out a little larger than the sheet pan.

6 eggs

1 cup light corn syrup

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup butter, melted

2 Tablespoons vanilla extract

4 cups pecan halves

2 refrigerated pie crusts

Instructions

Remove pie crusts from the refrigerator and let rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350º F.

Stack one refrigerated pie crust on top of the other and roll to an 18"x13" rectangle. Transfer pie crust to a 12"x 17" jellyroll pan. Trim to a 1" overhang and tuck the overhang under. Crimp pie edges and place in the freezer.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla. Stir in pecans.

Remove the pie crust from the freezer. Pour the filling into the pie crust.

Bake for 40-45 minutes. The pie should be puffed and just set in the middle. Transfer pan to a wire rack and let cool completely. How Do You Know When A Pecan Pie Is Done?

We’ve all been to that dinner party or family reunion when someone else made the pecan pie. And, well, you could tell. It was either really, really break-your-teeth hard (overcooked) or runny (undercooked).

How do you know when a pecan pie is done? Pecan pie is done when it’s puffy and slightly set in the middle. The center should not wobble – just a slight jiggle –  and a knife inserted near the center will come out clean. Remember, the filling will continue to cook and fully set while the pie cools.
