Prioritized Daily Task
Richard Clark's 77th Birthday. (I tried to call but his phone was off - I sent him a happy birthday text)
10:30 AM - Church at Abbington Memory Center
Debbie and I had prayer and got ready for church. We set up Abbington Memory Center for sacrament meeting. Brother Ryley and the Lehi 21st Ward provided priesthood and music for the church services. On the way home we stopped the Glenn and Wendy Smith's. Glenn has been getting Cemo treatments and went blind. He had chemo cataracts. The doctors removed the one on his right eye and he can see not. On the 28th of September, they are removing the cataract on his left eye. We went to church at Lehi 7th Ward at 12 Noon. We saw Jane and Mark Haws at the Sacrament meeting. On our way home we saw Wendy Smith in the front yard. We stopped and visited with her. He went bling about two or three weeks ago. Getting the cataract off his right eye has really helped. Debbie and I got home and had lunch. I tried to call Michael and Rae Lynn. Beth called me back and I talked to her, Tucher, and Andrew. Maggie had gone with her friends. Matthew called me back; he had just got home with Madeline, Bella, and Ava from a Daddy Daughter Camp Out on the Beach with the Marines. He sent me pictures. I called and talked to Lori Lynn, my niece, and talked to her. I called Dave and Jennifer Haygood. I talked to Jennifer; Dave has been in the hospital and is now in rehab. I tried to call Frank Powell in Tallapoosa. I left a message. I heard he was in the hospital. I called and talked to Dan, my brother-in-law yesterday. I called and left a message for Susan, his daughter. She called me back later. She is taking her dad in a week or two to Nashville, TN to see Avery and Truit, his grandchildren, then to Bremen, GA to see Wesley Truitt, Dan's brother, and then to Lineville, AL to see Dan's sister, Peggy Higgins. This afternoon Jared came by with Tylee, Max, and Jack. Libby Traveler came by with friends to spend the night. Jody, the mother of Libby called and checked on them. Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed. The children are still watching TV downstairs. The boys will be sleeping upstairs and Libby and the girls downstairs.

Note: As I concluded my visit with John and Heather in the hospital, John asked if I would give him a priesthood blessing. I responded that I gladly would give such a blessing, but I first needed to ask some questions.
I then posed questions I had not planned to ask and had never previously considered: “[John,] do you have the faith not to be healed? If it is the will of our Heavenly Father that you are transferred by death in your youth to the spirit world to continue your ministry, do you have the faith to submit to His will and not be healed?” Elder David A.
