Matthew and I were up early.  I had my personal prayer while Matt showered.  His employment fair at B.Y.U. is over at 3 PM today.  He had time to came back home and we park the Land Rover.  We caught an Uber to the Provo Airport.  Earlier I showered, packed, and had breakfast.  I called Debbie and we had prayer together after she got all the children off to school except Carter.  He has a Pink-eye infection.  I called and text Michael, Autumn, Matthew, Melodie, Beth, Rae Lynn, and Brett.  Rae Lynn and Brett will be gone from Nov.1st to Nov. 7th.  It will be good to visit Michael and Autumn from Oct 8th to Oct 11th and Nov. 1st to Nov. 16th.  JC Davis will have Tucker, Maggie, and Andrew from Oct 27th to 29th and maybe Nov 11th and 12th, Veterans week-end.  I wrote a letter to the Bishop of the Dublin Ward in Ireland.  I was there in December 2009. (from my journal in May 2014:                                                                     7 May 2013, Tuesday I had my personal prayer and read scriptures.  I had a fruit/vegetable smoothie, yogurt and granola for breakfast.  I pulled some data from my old journals.  Patt filled for a divorce in 2005.  We worked things out and in December 2009 I filed for divorce.  The divorce was final August 3, 2010.  I went to Dublin, Ireland December 12 to 16, 2009.  I met Jimmy Carroll at the ribbon cutting of the new Samuel Beckett Bridge near the Maldron Hotel, Caardiff Lane, Sir John Rogerson's Quary, Dublin 2, Ireland where I was staying.  I did not know at the time Jimmy was the owner of the hotel.  He owns several farms outside Dublin where in lives Old Recotry in Delgany, Wicklow County.  I attended church while I was in Dublin at a ward, Bishop Green was the bishop, in the stake center.  They had about 240 member with about 90 active.  The stake center was a full three phase building but the ward was about the same as a branch back in the states.  I did meet Sister Catherine Lamb, the ward genealogist.  She told me about the Old Brehon Law, it was never written down but was as binding as if it were chiseled in stone.  Jimmy Carroll was a member of the Pioneer Club; he and his wife were Catholics.  I gave a wrote a letter of introduction for the missionaries to take with them to visit Jimmy and Mariam and give them a copy of the Book of Mormon with my testimony.  He read the letter and invited them in.  He was nice but not interested at that that time.        I wrote a letter to the bishop and will mail it tomorrow from San Marcos.

Dear Bishop,

I visited your ward 14 years ago in December 2009.  Bishop Green was the bishop then.  I met Sister Catherine Lamb, stake/ward genealogist.  Her husband was a bus driver.

My wife and I are planning a vacation to come back to Ireland to do some genealogy and tour Ireland.

I do not know if the Lambs would be available or even interested.  If not is there anyone in the ward or stake that would be?   We are do not expect them to do this for free and insist on paying.

With kindness regards,

James L. McAlpin

Matthew and I caught our Breeze Airways flight to Orange County.  It was a good flight, very reasonably priced; the plane was new and very clean.  When we landed and Matthew got his luggage he took for displays at the employment fair.  I just took a carryon and my computer bag.  On the way home I sent a text to Debbie and called Micahael.  Michel and Matthew did most of the talking about Matthew's meeting in the morning with PayChecks.  When we. got home and visited with the girls Matthew and I had some soup.  I tried to call Debbie but she had gone to bed.  Ryan and Stephanie get home tomorrow.  Matthew came up and worked in the casita.  I had my personal prayer and went to bed before 11 PM.
