Prioritized Daily Task

10:15 a.m. MST - report ministering service to Cody Leatham on the phone

Get the church's software update on my phone and computer

I got up at 7 a.m. had prayer, showered, and shaved.  The children are all sleeping.  I took Charlie, the dog for a walk, and talked to Debbie.  She is back home.  Ryan, Stephanie, and the children spent the night after the BYU and Ohio State football game.  Debbie and I had prayer.  I cooked an egg, cheese, butternut squash, and sausage casserole with french bread for brunch today. I read and gave a ministering report to my neighbor Cody this morning.  Tucher and Maggie did not get up so Andrew and I had breakfast together.  It took some work but I finally got Tucker and Maggie ready and Tucker, Maggie, Andrew, and I got to church just before Sacrament meeting started.  Afterwards I attended priesthood and the children went to their classes.  I saw many of the brothers that remembered me when Michael was in this ward.  After church, we came home and changed clothes.  Beth had just got home when we arrived.  At 4 p.m. I followed Beth, Tucker, Maggie, and Andrew down to Matthew and Melodie's for Madeline's 12 birthday party.  We sang happy birthday and took pictures.  Gracie had a program on her camera that ages a person.  I had family prayer with all the children and grandchildren that were here.  Rae Lynn, Brett, and the boys are not here.  Later when Michael, his family, Beth and her children and Vickie, Melodie's mother, had gone home I called Debbie and we visited and had prayer.  Matthew did not have any meeting with his developers because they have a vacation today.  I had my personal prayer and read some before going to bed.

15 Jul 2023, Saturday Prioritized Daily Task 9:30 AM - walk around the falls and Snake River in Idaho Falls and see Visitor's Center at the Temple Costco Pharmacy and pick up Debbie's medicine for her cough  On the Juel of the Sea, make a deposit with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line for the British Isle Crusie from June 11 to June 23, 2024. 4:00 PM - Pocatello Temple Appointment (Proxy Sealing) with Debbie's aunt, Anita Schrade  6:00 PM - Dinner at Texas Road House Debbie and I had prayer, got dressed, and took Mirko and Ljubica to Idaho Falls.  We walked around the waterfall on both sides of the river and visited the farmer's market.  We all got Acai Bowls with fruit, nuts, and seeds for breakfast.  I took pictures of the island in the middle of the Snake River.  At one time it belonged to the Keefer Family and was named for Fred W. Keffer.  He built a 14 X 22-foot one-room cabin on the Island.  His family was from Pennsville Pa. and settled in...

 20 Aug 2023, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task Ryan and Stephanie Hobbs' 20th Wedding Anniversary I got up and had my personal prayer.  When Debbie got up we had prayer together.  I showered, shaved, and started to make reservations to go tomorrow evening to see a Shakespeare Festival play, TIMON OF ATHENS, at the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre at the college in Cedar City.  Jody Jenkins, my mission president's daughter, was in charge of the Shakespeare Festival at the college before she retired.  I knew it was Sunday and something I should wait until tomorrow to do, so I did not complete the purchase.  I will check and see if I can get tickets tomorrow.  Debbie and Ljubica fixed breakfast and afterward, Bojana cleaned the kitchen.  We followed our neighbors to church this morning.  *Note: In the sacrament meeting, the text in one of the songs, Upon the Cross of Calvery, "death unlocks the passageway into eternity".  The text is...

 17 Feb 2023, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Call Elbert Angel about Ora's land deed in Haralson County, GA abt 60 acres 4:00 PM - Appointment with Sam at Wells Fargo Bank to get Debbie on our estimated tax account *Note:  The story of young John Taylor, a convert to the church, was in NY City preparing for a mission to England in 1837.  He had been telling people he had all the money he needs; he is all set.  Parley P. Pratt was also in NY City on a different kind of mission, a publication mission, to get the word out here in NY.  He hears stories that John Taylor has money and I need all the help I can get, with printing cost,  paper, ink, and, to pay a typesetter, so he goes to John Taylor and asks him, “Do you have any money?”  Elder Taylor says, “Yes, I have plenty of money.”  Elder Pratt says, “Ah, good, can I have $2 or $3 hundred dollars to pursue the work I am called to do?”   Brother Taylor gets a big smile on his face and...
