James Reynolds' 9th Birthday

10:30 a.m. - church at Abbington Memory Center

12:00 noon - Lehi 7th Ward meeting

5:00 p.m. - Sheby, Nick Swensen, and one of their friends for dinner

Tell Elder Quorum President, Derek Soderquist, that Glenn Smith has only a couple of weeks or more to live.

Debbie and I were up and had prayer before starting the day.  I sent James, my niece a happy birthday greeting through her mother.  Debbie and I had over an hour to talk to Mirko, Ljubica, and Bojana Jelicic in Serbia this morning.  We attended church at Abbington Memory Center.  Lehi 12th Ward was in charge of providing priesthood etc. today.  After services, we stopped at Cathy Hermansen's, and Debbie gave her a present the Relief Society was giving to each sister at church today.  We drove by the home of Glenn and Wendy Smiths.   They were in the garage and waved us down.  We talked to them.  Glenn said the doctors has given him from 4 to 6 weeks to live.  They have a trip planned to leave on January 22, 2024, for Australia and New Zealand.   If he does not make it he said I will spend what time I have left with the children and grandchildren.  I got back home and returned Doug Yancy's phone call.  Dave Haygood lived with Doug and his parents when he first joined the church.  We have been friends for over 50 years.  Beth called from San Clemente.  The children, Tucker, Maggie, and Andrew do not get out of school until the 21 of December.  Cathy Hermansen came by and brought a box of Sees candy.  Cathy's neighbors are Sydney and Lawrence Muir.  I met them some time ago. Sydney is from Georgia.  The grandchildren, Shelby, Nick, Libby, and her friend, Amy came by and had dinner with Debbie, and me.  Debbie cooked a pot roast with gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet corn, yeast rolls, etc.  After dinner Nick washed the dishes and Shelby dried them.  The children went downstairs and Nick set in the vibrating chair and Shelby got on the vibrating platform.  Later Debbie and I had family prayer with them before they went home.  I took the 6 story books and orange candy boxes to the neighbors around us.  I studied scriptures and Debbie put the Christmas presents she has wrapped in the closets downstairs.  I listened to Come Follow Me and Andrea Bocelli - Cantique De Noel (O Holy Night) (BBC Songs of Praise).  Matthew, Meldodie, Madeline, Isabella, Ava, and Grandma Vickie got here after 10:30 p.m.   We had prayer with them before everyone went to bed.
