Prioritized Daily Task
10:30 a.m. church at Abbington Memory Center
Get someone to handle Abbington Memory Center on Jan1 (Debbie's birthday is on Dec. 31 - she wants to take some or all of the grandchildren she can to see and hear the Tabernacle Choir and Spoken Word)
We slept in this morning; Shelby and her friends did not come over last night. Debbie did not get to bed until after midnight. Debbie and I had prayer together; I showered and shaved and then let Debbie have the shower; today is Fast Sunday so we did not eat anything. My diarrhea has backed off but I am still not out of the woods. I plan to take it easy watching what I eat today and maybe tomorrow I can start on some solid food. We helped set up and take down for church services a Abbington Memory Center. The Lehi 2nd Ward was in charge of the sacrament meeting. Debbie and I are there to make sure things run smoothly. After church services, we came home for a few minutes before attending our Ward, Lehi 7th. We attended Sacrament and Sunday School. Brother Roger Harmond shared his feelings regarding his wife, Maxsine's, passing. Brother Peck, our former bishop, taught Sunday School. Note: Some thoughts I picked up today from a sister of 5 children. It is a struggle giving birth but what joy and happiness it brings; likewise, death can be a struggle but what happiness and joy is in it. We came to the earth to gain a physical body which is necessary to gain light. After church, we came home and had soup and crackers to break our fast. We listened to scriptures in 1st John, at 6 p.m. the First Presidency Devotional. Before the devotional, I made some notes of things I needed to do; make appointments to attend the temple for the next four weeks and hang the Christmas wreath in the sunroom. The first speaker at the devotional, 2nd counselor in general Primary said in her talk, "Give God a fair share of your time." After the devotional Debbie and I made appointments for Tuesday and Thursday to do temple work in the Saratoga Temple. We printed out names to take to do work for these individuals. We had prayer together before going to bed.
