Note:  The first death came about because of Adam and Eve.  We all get old if we live long enough and then die a physical death.  But we will all be resurrected from the first death because of Christ.  We will be brought to stand before Christ to be judged; if we have not repented and taken upon ourselves the name of Jesus Christ we will suffer a second death because of our own sins this time and not because of Adam and Eve's sin.  The first death is a separation of the body and spirit; the second death is a separation of body and spirit from God.  "He that overcometh shall not be hurt by the second death."  Revelation 2:11

It is easy to become so intellectually in tune that you fall out of being spiritually in tune. 

For too many people, College is where faith goes to die.

The Devil does not even have keys to his own house.  Why would you want to follow him?

Debbie and I were up early, had prayer, showered, and got ready.  My stomach is still upset so I did not eat any breakfast.  We attended the Saratoga Spring Temple and did an initiatory season at 7:45 a.m. for some work for Ljubica's family who lived in Croatia.  Next, we went on a sealing session with another couple, and last we attended an endowment session.  When we got home Debbie had lunch and I had some chicken noodle soup.  We hung some Christmas wreaths and put the Christmas tree up to decorate.  We watched the movie Ivanhoe and had prayer together before going to bed.

 20 Aug 2023, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task Ryan and Stephanie Hobbs' 20th Wedding Anniversary I got up and had my personal prayer.  When Debbie got up we had prayer together.  I showered, shaved, and started to make reservations to go tomorrow evening to see a Shakespeare Festival play, TIMON OF ATHENS, at the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre at the college in Cedar City.  Jody Jenkins, my mission president's daughter, was in charge of the Shakespeare Festival at the college before she retired.  I knew it was Sunday and something I should wait until tomorrow to do, so I did not complete the purchase.  I will check and see if I can get tickets tomorrow.  Debbie and Ljubica fixed breakfast and afterward, Bojana cleaned the kitchen.  We followed our neighbors to church this morning.  *Note: In the sacrament meeting, the text in one of the songs, Upon the Cross of Calvery, "death unlocks the passageway into eternity".  The text is...

 17 Feb 2023, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Call Elbert Angel about Ora's land deed in Haralson County, GA abt 60 acres 4:00 PM - Appointment with Sam at Wells Fargo Bank to get Debbie on our estimated tax account *Note:  The story of young John Taylor, a convert to the church, was in NY City preparing for a mission to England in 1837.  He had been telling people he had all the money he needs; he is all set.  Parley P. Pratt was also in NY City on a different kind of mission, a publication mission, to get the word out here in NY.  He hears stories that John Taylor has money and I need all the help I can get, with printing cost,  paper, ink, and, to pay a typesetter, so he goes to John Taylor and asks him, “Do you have any money?”  Elder Taylor says, “Yes, I have plenty of money.”  Elder Pratt says, “Ah, good, can I have $2 or $3 hundred dollars to pursue the work I am called to do?”   Brother Taylor gets a big smile on his face and...
