11 Sep 2023, Monday Priorit ized Daily Task 9:00 AM - Debbie's appointment with Joshua Burkhardt, DO | Allergy & Immunology Specialist Personal prayer, Nick Traveller showered in our shower, and when he left for St. George to play in a golf tournament, Debbie and I had prayer together.  She cooked breakfast; Bojana came up from downstairs.  She talked to her mother.  She and Mirko had arrived home.  Mirko had walked down to the store to get some milk.  Debbie went to see Dr. Burkhardt.  I worked on getting information on our income for 2023 to Matt McCleary, CPA to do estimated taxes.   I texted Alex and she called me when she got up.  I told her I would take her to the airport.  She still hasn't got a ticket to fly home.  She, Jake, and his dad climbed up to Glacier Lake on Mt. Debbie's mother's 1/2 sister and aunt at Assisted Living Memory Center about 6 miles from Patrick and Anndalyn's  3:45 PM Visit with Patrick, Anndalyn, Lyndan, and the children.  5 PM Call the children; Only talked to Beth, Tucker is getting Great Grandpa Horsley's 2005 Hindi from Patricia his grandmother. She talked to me about her student loan that the government was planning to forgive but that has all changed and interest rates are high.  I left messages on the other children's phones that I had called and loved them.  9 Sep 2023, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task 1:00 PM - Football game in Provo, BYU vs. Southern Utah, Thunderbirds  with the Nield, their grandson, Max, and Jelicics at  LaVell Edwards Stadium 6:00 PM - Adult session of Gateway Stake Conference Debbie and I had prayer and got ready for the day.  I checked on Mirko and Ljubica's flight schedule back to Belgrade.  I sent a copy of the pictures I took to Mike and Susan Root.  I asked them for the names of their children and their families in the pictures.  I also sent Jordan Radman a copy of the picture I took of Him with Mirko, Ljubica, and Bojana at his father and mother's grave in Holiday Memoria Cemetery yesterday.  I checked my blood sugar and glucose level.  It was 88 this morning.  We ate brunch and met Lon and Pat Nield at the health center next to Lon's old business office.  The girls rode with Pat and Lon and his grandson, Max, rode with me to LaVell Edwards Footba...

8 Sep 2023, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Send Elain a picture text message.  It is just the two of us left  9:00 AM - Saratoga Springs Temple appointment, for  Proxy Endowment  Saratoga Springs Utah Temple 2:30 PM - Clara's softball game  4:00 PM - Dinner at the Root home and visit family 6:30 PM - Visit the Radmans I was up early, showered, shaved, cooked oatmeal and toast for breakfast. I sent Elain a text message with a picture and a note because I have not heard from her since we were in Florida at Ora's funeral, on 17th August 2023.  Mirko, Ljubica, Debbie, and I attended the Saratoga Springs Temple.  We did family endowments.  We came home, had lunch, and went to Clara Gourley's softball game.  We left before it was over to have dinner with the Root family.  Mirko, Ljubica, and Bojana were very close to the Root family when they live here in 1990s.  All their children and grandchildren came to have dinner and visit....

 5 Sep 2023, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task Take Mikro, Ljubica, and Bojana shopping and stop at Wells Fargo Bank The medicine I am taking for my cough is helping but it is keeping me from getting the sleep I need.  Debbie and I had prayer together.  Laura is picking her up to go shopping for Grandma Shirley Hobbs who is in an assisted living and Pam can not take her shopping today.  Debbie cooked breakfast this morning before she left.  I took Mirko, Ljubica, and Bojana shopping at Costco and Walmart.  I stopped at Wells Fargo and took cash out of my checking account.  I made an appointment at Great Clips to get my hair cut.  I went by and they did not have either of the two appointments.  One I was running late for and the other on my way over.  Neither appointment showed up on their computer.  I showed the young man who worked there the appointments I made on my phone at the Great Clips at the Macy's Lehi Center.  He a...

 4 Sep 2023, Monday Priorit ized Daily Task Labor Day Spray the fruit trees, grape vines, garden, and flowers with Hi-Yield and Neem We slept in, had prayer, and Debbie cooked brunch.  We are starting to get fruit, apples, pears, and grapes as well as continuing to get vegetables from our garden this year.  Debbie took Mirko and Ljubica to Border Crossing, Immigration, etc. offices at the SLC Airport.  She also took Bojana to try and get Mirko and Ljubica's visa extended 3 days.  I got some nice pictures from Beth.  She and Rae Lynn are sisters so much like Ora and Elain.  I called and checked on Dan Truitt.  Susan and Amy are checking on and taking good care of him.  I worked on notes I put in my journal for family and future generations.  Mirko and Ljubica could not get their visas extended 3 extra days so Debbie and Bojana talked with Delta Airline and got their tickets to return to Belgrad, Serbia changed from Sep 13 to Sep 10....

3 Sep 2023, Sunday   Priorit ized Daily Task We slept in this morning.  Debbie and I had prayer together.  I still have a chest cold and am coughing less but I got a poor night's sleep.  I showered, shaved, and got dressed for church at noon for Lehi 7th Ward Services.  I will wear a face mask but did not want to take a chance going at 10:30 to Abington Memory Center.  Everyone came home and at 12 Noon we attended Lehi 7th Ward, Fast and Testimony Meeting, and Sunday School.  Jody came and attended with us.  Note: I try and bear my testimony of Christ every chance I get.  I remember the promise from the Lord:  “For I will forgive you of your sins,” he promises, “with this commandment—that you remain steadfast . . . in bearing testimony to all the world of those things which are communicated unto you” (D&C 84:61).  After church Debbie rode back home with Jody and the Jelicics rode with me.  Debbie showed Jody our garden...

 2 Sep 2023, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task Call and text Brother Jeff Meeks on the Stake High Council to cover for us at Abbington Memory Center at 10:30 AM church services (did this yesterday) Mail check for $4,609.43 my 1/3 share of property tax 40 acres in Cleveland, White Co. to Jimmy Morris in Flowery Branch, GA after Eric sees and approves it.  31 Aug 2023, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task 5:00 AM PST - Pray, pack, check out of the Nugget Hotel in Reno, fill the Subaru with gas, talk to Matthew and Michael before conference video with Eric Fisher at 2:00 PM MST, approve a proposed purchase of A&M from Janie Morrie Dunman and Nancy Abercrombie, drive to Lehi, wash the car, fill car with gas and buy groceries, check the mail, prayer with Jeliic and Debbie and I had prayer together before going to bed at about 11 PM MST.  I copied the proposal and filed it in A&M, Eric Fisher, file We were up early, had prayer, showered, and packed before going down to breakfast at 6 AM.  I checked us out of the hotel and drove to Wendover, UT stopping twice for gas.  I talked to Matthew and Michael before our conference video meeting about the proposal to Jimmy and his mother Janie Morris Dunman and Nancy Abercrombie to purchase A&M Investments.  After the meeting I gave Eric Fisher, Attorney, to procee...

 30 Aug 2023, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task Maggie Davis' 12th Birthday Libbie Traveller's 18th Birthday We got up early, had prayer, ate breakfast from the food we had packed, checked out of the Motel 6, and drove to Reno, NV.  This was the first time I had not made arrangements for us to spend the night.  I called Matthew and asked him to get us two rooms each with two beds.   The rooms were nice and away from the Golden Nugget casino.  In the back in the parking lot was a BOQ Cook Off where we bought dinner and took it back to our room.  After dinner we had prayer together, Debbie and I had prayer, and to bed.  Today was Maggie's 12 birthday and Libby's 18th.  We sent them texts wishing them each a happy birthday.  I got a text from Blake who sent me a picture of Olin Brown McAlpin.  29 Aug 2023, Tuesday] Priorit ized Daily Task Muir Woods State Park, Redwoods Drive up Highway 1 in California along the coast  Point Arena Light House Motel 6, Fort Bragg, CA We had prayer, packed the car/SUV, checked out of the lodge, and stopped on the way to Muir Woods State Park at a pharmacy to get some toothpaste, etc., and have breakfast at a small local cafe.  It is a good thing we made reservations for parking or we would not have been able to enter the park.  We hiked the Redwood Creek Trail (2 miles).  These Redwoods are different from the Giant Sequoias that are further inland.  (Coast Redwood, 379 feet high, lives for 2,000 years, and its diameter at chest height is 22 feet, and its bark is 12 inches thick, while the Giant Sequoia height is 311 feet, it lives for 3,200 years, its diameter at chest height is 40 feet, and its bark is 31 inches thick) The tallest Redwood in Muir Woods is 258 feet, about the height of a 23 story building....
